-Come pick a bowl and share a bowl of soup with your neighbors for charity!

This is the sixth annual event organized by The Potter’s Wheel and generously hosted by Austin's Ale House.

A simple meal of soup and bread will be served in a handmade or hand painted ceramic bowl of your choosing and you will keep your bowl as a reminder that there are always empty bowls in our City.

Help us raise money for the wonderful Riverfund organization (www.river.fund) enabling them to continue their important work of lending a helping hand to our neighbors in need. Each dollar raised goes as far as $20- and we hope that this will allow them to extend their reach even further.

In preparation for the day, many of The Potter's Wheel artists lovingly created, decorated and donated very unique bowls, and dozens of seniors, school children and other community members painted bowls at Kew Gardens community events.

-Potters can donate as many bowls as they wish (please have them ready and handed in to Grace by March 30th).

-Come and paint a pre-made bowl for donation. We will fire your creation and have it ready for the fundraiser where it will be included along with all the other handmade bowls.

Bowl painting events:
Sunday, March 18th & Sunday, March 25th, 2:00 - 4:00pm
Cost: $5/bowl

RIVER FUND is the largest community-based organization of its kind in Queens, and we coined the term "Poverty Frontline Center" to define the role we play in New York City: We confront material hardship with (1) weekly groceries, (2) benefits access, and (3) support and education pathways from Cradle to College. Thank you for supporting our work.
